Guest guest
I am nervous about eating while away. , I have managed pretty well ordering eggs, real cheese, broiled meats, fish etc, buying nuts fruits.salads with olive oil, fresh squeezed juices, cooked vegetables. Perhaps you will have to do without yogurt and just refrigerate a probiotic. Also if you meet up with SCD people from the Chicago area they may be of some help. Whole Foods have a microwave in their restaurant area and you can heat your own things. Carol F. SCD 3 yrs., Celiac
Guest guest
Thanks Carol, I can't do whole nuts, most raw fruits or veggies, or salads yet, without pain, so it's not just about staying SCD legal. But with this microwave and my cooler I should ok! Plus a couple dinners out, of things like you mentioned here. Great suggestions, though, thanks. in NC Mom of Luke, age 5, Asperger's/low-salicylate; , age 3; and , 23 mos All SCD since 1/26/04 No Mom is an island. but sometimes she needs one! Guest guest
Hi Micheele, Just a word on ordering eggs when in a restaurant/hotel. You may wish to have boiled/ or over easy eggs (no scrambled) to be sure they are using real eggs and not " fake eggs " from a carton. Also double check that cheese is not " lite/light " cheese.
