Guest guest
Yesterday Patty had asked me to cut her hair because she said it looked like she had a mullet. Of course I said no and told her to make an appointment. Well, I just got home and was greeted at the door by Patty. Can you guess what she did today? Instead of waiting for that appointment, like she has done for 19 years, she decided she could cut her own hair. That's right, she cut her hair. I mean she CUT her hair! I do not know what got into her mind but it sure as heck wasn't anything good that's for sure. She went from shoulder length hair to short hair which she cut to the nape of her neck. Lets see if you can guess how good it looks. It looks like junk. She has a problem making her handwriting look good. Just imagine what she did to her hair! I could just scream. Oh and she did it by feel, no mirror, nothing. Oh my goodness! Instead of taking her to the beauty salon to fix it I think I just might clean up the horribly stray parts (and boy do I mean stray) but I think I just might let her live looking like this for a week or two. I can't believe this. I never know what is going to happen next. This one makes me want to pull my own hair out. If I were a really horrible mother I just might take a picture of this. Serves her right. Good thing she didn't cut her neck, poke an eye out.... Darn I don't have any film. Tim, have you found anything out about CHARGE and impulsivity. Is this just Patty? Why, oh why, oh why? I can't believe this. 19 years and still she does things that blow my mind. Bonnie, mom to Kris 21, a very unique looking Patty 19 and hoping to make it to 20, and wife to who just might scream from fright when he walks in the door. Guest guest
Bonnie, My husband is 38 and very vain, thought he could put high lights in his own hair to save money. It took $200 dollars later to fix the mess, and weeks of orange hair, but, I think he learned his lesson. What was he thinking?! LOL. Guest guest
Bonnie, has done the same thing, on many occasions, if the scissors have not been hidden she has given herself a haircut. She always seems quite proud of herself too! The first time I ever had her overnight was when I was about 16/17, she was " napping " in my room, only to find her as pleased as punch to have her dark hair all over my white carpet and me freaking out, wondering how capable her parent's would think that I was was caring for their daughter after that. It's been 7 years and she lives with me, so that was the least of her worries! I did take pics and was actually looking at them yesterday! Her Mom just laughed, it hadn't been the first time. She did it at school that same week, the teacher called her flipping out and again it wasn't a big deal, she had just done it at my house. I would have been wondering by then, as it wasn't that long to begin with! used to love going out and having her hair done with the whole getting a shampoo, holding the mirror and being pampered, now its a struggle. I dread when I take her because it is always on a bribe and I am right there, making sure that the hair dresser isn't getting her hair pulled. To this day scissiors are usually kept up and outta sight, as she also like to cut up the stuffed animals to take the stuffing out and put the fabric between her fingers. , friend and caregiver to , 23...CHARGE

Guest guest
Chantelle, you and I think alike. I suggested that one to him, he is just to vain. He would never shave his head. He had to go in and have some chemical to strip the color, then, have a dark color put in, then have high lights, then have a short hair cut. Then a few weeks later, he had to go back in, because his hair was still not natural looking, so he had her repeat this process. Here in Southern California, nothing is cheap. It was $100 each time. Yikes. DeAnn

Guest guest
Bonnie, You are in my thoughts and prayers. at 19 still does goofy impulsive things but cutting her hair isn't one of the. Guest guest
My sisters do it all the time, cutting each others hair. Its funny, they make fun of each other about it. I think everyone does it once in a while.
