Every time I feel sad or disgusted, I just come read my email and reply to people like yourself who make my battle a little easier. I am here for you anytime you need to vent. what phase of the insurance battle are you in? What is your company? Tell me more and maybe we can compare notes. I have contacted The lawyer from obesity.com(Walter) and he is trying to get some more information for me. My husband's human resource person has also talked to the insurance people locally trying to stress the importance of turning down the boss's wife.(I try to use what ever I can.) The appeals court decided that the WLS IS medically necessary so it is a covered benefit so now I just have to prove that I meet all the criteria (which I think I have) so it is more waiting. Sounds like you are doing everything righ in your battle with the insurance I thought about getting Walter myself if the fist appeal was denied. I hear he is great at this. Have you bombarded the appeals committee with information from the internet?? I submitted 350 pages!!! Think they just overturned the denial so that they wouldn't have to read it all !!!! Like you said, whatever works. Also have you decided on Dr R for sure? If so, he is wonderful at getting involved with the insurance battles we face.
