Guest guest
My 10 year old has been on the diet now for 11 days, his stools are formed and never had any loose ones, on saturday he had 3 stools totally formed, bit pastie in colour also he peee's alot more. Infact, he has taken to diet, eating really well.. This week going to try out more foods. I am just concerned about not really seeing the " die-off " stage. As not sure what im looking for. He doesnt need his melatonin which im quite glad as it seems to be an illegal anyway, sleeps during the night and waking about 6 or i have to wake him at 8.00am for school. To be honest i just cant believe this, keep thinking theres a catch, is this my child. (literally going from 3-4 hours a night as i mentioned in a post few days ago.) I cant sleep because im up to check to see he is still breathing, although i am more relaxed last few days. Guest guest
Wow, Elaine, what great news. I just want to chime in and say that we have never seen a " die off " reaction like those described by other people. And I mean never. Not with Diflucan, Flagyl or Vancomycin even though it was completely obvious that they were needed. We saw huge improvement, mostly with the Diflucan, but never 5 minutes of die off. So, I think some kids react differently. Jody mom to -5 and -7 SCD 16 months

Guest guest
Hi Elaine, > My 10 year old has been on the diet now for 11 days, his stools are > formed and never had any loose ones, on saturday he had 3 stools > totally formed, bit pastie in colour also he peee's alot more. The change in stool colour and frequent urination are pretty common at the beginning of the diet. You might even say that the color change in stool *is* a sign of die-off. > Infact, he has taken to diet, eating really well..
