Yes, we have charged for No Shows and have received payment from a couple of WC

Insurance companies (sorry, can't remember who they are right now). Most do not

reimburse for no shows but at least they have a record of thier injured worker's

non compliance.

No Show charge for workers comp

Has anyone charged CPT code 99049 for a patient no-show in California or any

other state and actually got paid by the workers comp ins company ? My question

is Is there any rule/regulation/law written that we cannot charge for a patient

no-show to the insurance company?

Is 99049 a valid CPT code? I could not fine it in a web site we use or a 2008

CPT book.

99049 is a valid code for work comp only. It is not in the CPT codes and might

only be valid in California?
