What is a high pulse rate on T3 dose?

I've been on 25mcg of Cytomel for two weeks and Synthroid, but prior to that I

was taking 20mcg of Cytomel and 2 grains of Nature throid so my T3 was a bit

higher before the last two weeks.

My doctor said I could increase the Cytomel by 12.5 and use my pain levels as a

guide to when to stop increasing.

I've started adding another 12.5mcg around 12pm (lunch time). I'm taking my

pulse rate and about 20 minutes after a 12.5mcg dose it's about 93. Is that

normal?

What level is considered too high? And if the pulse gets to that level do you

decrease your T3?

if oyu are not in horrible physical shape and are abel to exercise a bit

75-85 is a normal adult pulse. Low 90's is fine for most of us but when

you bump on the 100's I would definitly slow it down. You CANNOT use

pain levels strictly as a guide as there are too many other things along

with hypo that cause pain. Low sodium can also cause an elevated pulse

so if yous stays in the 90's or goes higher you might try supplementing

unrefined sea salt to see if that will bring it down as well.

I have Himalayan sea salt and if the rate goes to high 90's I'll take some of

that.

I thought since pain was my worst symptom, along with low temps, cold, dry skin,

low energy, that I should use the worst symptom to see if I'm at a good dose.

Like I said pain is a good indicator btu oy umust be certain it is JUST

hypo causing it. Many folks that are hypothyroid have low magnesium and

or low potassium. BOTH thiose can cause muscle pain. I have tons of

muscle pain that only staryted improving when I took mega doses of

potassium, btu it is still ther esomewhat and I am NOT hypo in the

least. I donlt; knwo what I will try next but something for sure.

I think my magnesium and potassium are okay. I do take 500mg of magnesium a day,

but no potassium supplements, only the little bit that comes in my multi. I do

eat a lot of potatoes though.

my last potassium level was 3.9 (3.5-5.2) is that too low?
