Guest guest
My son had severe gastroenteritis five weeks ago and became dehydrated and was put on a saline drip for three days. (I was promised it was just salt and no dextrose). He had done so well on the SCD and his autistic tendencies had disappeared and he was doing very well. Since this episode he is still very very pale, is choosing to play by himself, lound noises bother him and his eyes which were responding to light are very dlilated again. He is wetting the bed at night, having night sweats and seems unable to control his body temperature..spinning and lots more! I suspect that the gut lining is wrecked and that until it can repair itself we will see this. Please could someone tell me if I am on the right track and how long does it take (approx) for the stomach lining to heal itself and any ideas as to what to do?
