Vitamin A Protocol Maintenance Dose & More

Hi everyone,

We just did the two-day High Dose Vitamin A protocol with my 3.5 yo son. One

day after the protocol and we have seen interesting improvements (trying to copy

everything more including his big brother and more speech though it hasn't

gotten clearer). Hopefully, they will stick.

What I'm wondering is how long do we do the maintenance dose (20,000 to 40,000

iu)? McCandless's book doesn't say how long to do the maintenance dose and

since vit A blocks vit D, we want to be carefull with this.

Also, what types of side effects or reactions have people seen as part of the

process? Last night, my guy had a case of the giggles at 2am, but I was

expecting yeast. Since he is already on diflucan with Valtrex, I'm just upping

his probiotics slightly. What has been more surprising has been poop issues?

[The poop sensitive should stop reading at this point] The first day, he had

what appeared to be a normal poop in terms of external color, texture, etc.

However, when it touched the toilet bowl it split revealing what was inside and

there was a green, black stringy mucousy substance straight out of a horror

flick. The next morning he had diarrhea in his diaper and it comprised very

dark feces, some blood (Daddy gave him wheat - grr - so it could have been the

infraction), more of the green/black stringy stuff, black flecks of non-fecal

matter, and a ton of mucous. Is this what it looks like when you shed measles?

He's had infractions before and we've never seen anything like this before.

Would you share what you may have seen during the Vit A protocol process to help

me normalize (or not) what I'm seeing.

Thanks,
