It is supposed to strengthen the force of contractions (I think if I am rembering right) I know it is supposed to spead up labor well the one I drank it with lasted only 1 and one half hours. Dont know if that had anything to do with it or if it was meant to be fast anyway. The one before this short one lasted almost 20 hours.
