Guest guest
For the last week or so I have been having loose stools and today I have just plain watery diarrhea... I really do not understand this. Could it be that the SCD diet IS NOT FOR ME???? I am doing it to support my son's. He has also had mushy stools this past week, but not diarrhea yet. At the beginning of last week we started acidophilous which we have discontinued for now... The only thing new that I can think of, other than a " long lived virurs " is an HN Zyme that I took yesterday (first one!) and that I ate out this morning, a ham and cheese omelette with veggies... I am eating about 4 eggs a day, and about 2 bananas, a lot of vegetables fruits and meat or fish. I also drink a cup of coffee or two (but I have always have!). For the first 4 weeks of the diet I did not have loose stools, quite the contrary. I have lost about 12 pounds (I would need to loose 10 or 20 more!), but I have not lost any for the last 2 weeks, I guess since I started making goodies (ketchup, cakes and cookies). Any thoughts? Guest guest
Thanks for the encouragement!!! The truth is that felt I always had a healthy gut, and nowadays... But no, I am not going to abandone my son's diet. His health has improved with it!!! And I think my participation in it makes it easier on him to accept that other people in the family eat pasta and bread, but WE don't. > Maybe you could try the intro again? I know, that's everyone's most > dreaded advice... I put my son into a Stage One this week (carrots, hamburger, eggs, applesauce, banana and PB pancakes) for a couple of days, and I think his tummy feels better now. Boy it is my rear end what is burning right now (don't know if caused by die-off or rough toilet paper) lol I will let " it " speak to me tomorrow, but yes, I may go back to the intro. Boy I was just thinking that a good comedian would get rich on " SCD potty stories " ... ;-) Maybe I will write " A tale of two potties. Guest guest
Hi Coral, Ham is usually made with sugar and/or other illegals. If you were having loose stools (possibly from the probiotic - not everyone tolerates probiotics) the ham may have pushed you over the edge.
