Guest guest
HI everyone. I am very new to the group and I have been taking in so much. There is so much that I do not understand. My son is on a bowlful of supplements each morning and evening and I have seen slight improvement. I am not even sure where to start. I have come this far through researching on my own since I was getting nowhere with the ped. Is there a place I need to start reading at so I can know what to do from here? All I have done are the supplements, cut out HFCS and sugar. I found a great site for the learning disabled www.diannecraft.org as I am sure Colby is also dyslexic. If anyone is having troubles in academic areas, I would highly recommend her stuff. I would appreciate any and all info that I can get. I want my son to get better. God bless. Guest guest
Sheatina, I recently read an article about dyslexia (from school in Great Britian) that used the gf (wheat free)diet (in the school) and found that the effects were immediate. Kids gained a year of reading in a short period of time. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article444290.ece I can tell you from my own experience (I was diagnosed when I was young and the diagnosis just went away) -- when my Mom put me on a meat and veg diet (as the request of a Jewish lady down the street) along with " liver " (keep in mind this was over 30 years ago) - I started to read and my reading went thru the roof... Liver is high in B-12. You might want to try to give him B-12 as in the methyl form, and put him on a diet that removes wheat/dairy/gluten/casein too. Something to consider. laura > > HI everyone. Guest guest
Thanks so much, . You have been a great help. I just made a trip yesterday to the organic health food store to buy stuff gluten free and we are starting that today. He will not eat any veggies or fruit at all (but maybe the juice) He will not eat liver. I have ordered the zinc supplements that someone recommended to see if that helps. Thanks again for all your help!! Sheatina > > > > HI everyone. I am very new to the group and I have been taking in so much. There is so much that I do not understand.
