Guest guest
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! Just wanted to drop in and give a quick (we'll see about that) update, 2 weeks post transplant. As my subject reveals, I am loving life! I have this unbelievable amount of energy (back to my fiesty self), I am eating like a pig (pizza, oreos, cheese GALORE!), and my labs continue to look good-- creatinine was 1.2 in most current labs. I enrolled in classes for the upcoming semester as well--so I am starting the path to my nursing degree. I am going to kick my own butt, but thats okay, at least its a healthy butt now! The prednisone is a pain (I'm on 40 mg right now), but I am not going to mope around when I am feeling this incredible. I hope everyone has enjoyed the first day of 2004, and that this year brings all good health and happiness that they deserve. Amy, I'm sorry about your electrolyte upset...But I hope you enjoyed that chocolate cake! What a wonderful idea, I might have to run up to the store and grab some myself Tonya, how is nursing school going? I admire how you handle yourself and your health, when you have so much on your plate. I'm sorry about your labs, I hope things start to look up in that department for you. , I enjoyed the article. How is your donor doing now, by the way? I am glad to see that you are feeling well. I hope work continues to go well for you. and , are you both enjoying life too, with new kidneys? I hope so! Lynne, the article about your sons almost brought tears to my eyes, and I am not a mushy person But I am so glad that Brent is doing well, and that they have such a close bond--what a wonderful christmas gift, indeed! Newbies-welcome, please stay! I think I must have eaten one too many oreos, as I looked back on my post and it's quite...silly, I must say. Anyways, I am off now-- hope everyone is doing well!
