Guest guest
Hi Pearl, I grind all my spices and herbs in in a coffee grinder. You can also use a blender, food processor or a mortar and pestle. What do you grate it with to > get the finished product? I know that I have asked instructions before on how to make onion powder and garlic powder. I bought the machine from Lucy. I tried it, but it ws all so moist , that you could not grind it, and I threw it all in the garbabe. Where did I go wrong?(I know I went wrong someplace) How thin does it have to be cut? How many hours does it have to stay in? What temperature does it have to be set on? Sny help would be appreciated,

Just my guesses: slice ultra-thin. Oliver's (British TV-chef) suggestion: use a potato/apple peeler to slice them FAST and very thin. I never do it otherwise anymore. I'd guess that they need to be in for the night/8 hours. Temperature: high. Just a question: what about using garlic & onions raw and then baked? Guest guest
> Are you talking about a hand potato peeler? How can that be done fast? Garlic is little and how would you do onions like that? I don't know if we're talking about the same nice instrument. You hold the peeler between your index finger & thumb, it is U-shaped. It does NOT work for onions. Get the skin off the garlic, hold the garlic piece (?) in one hand, scrape / slice with the other hand. Watch out for your fingers when alsmost done.
