Guest guest
I don't really remember painful nighttime urination, but there sure were lots of nightime needs. As for the cramps -- oh, yes! Oh, yes! I had leg cramps so bad I would have to get up and walk around the house. These are cramps that do not go away -- they cause you to curl up in a ball and cry to try and go to sleep. You need to see a doctor now. As soon as I started taking lasix, I pretty much stopped having these cramps -- I guess they were caused by Edema (water build-up) in the legs at night. I also found that by sleeping with my feet elevated on a pile of pillows, I could sometimes mitigate the pain. I also had a couple of other major symptoms -- headaches from high blood pressure that were so bad, I was popping Ibuprophen to try and dull it -- little did I know that was the worst thing I could do. Second major thing -- I would get exhausted after walking just a couple of blocks -- so tired I would have to lean against a building wall to catch my breath to lurch along a few more yards. Guest guest
Hi Tabby, Frequent nighttime urination is a symptom of late chronic renal insufficiency, and leg cramps are also fairly common. & amp;nbsp; Are you being monitored by a Nephrologist? If not, you should probably at least be checked to see what your renal function is.
Guest guest
I get painful urination from time to time and get very bad leg cramps. So bad I just cry and try not to move at all. Moving seems to make them worse. My boyfriend and I have tried everything to help them heat, cold and even my pain killers don't touch them. I still get them and they are worse they can last up to 30 mins for me. I havn't been able to see my primary doctor yet but my foot doctor feels he should be able to help me. What is worse is that even after it gone I can still feel the left over effect for awhile. I still get the twitching in my muscle but it is not limited to the feet. Best to talk it over with your doctor. martha <tabby30002001@y...> wrote: > Has anyone heard of or had IgA first presenting as renal failure > where the first symptoms were frequent painful night time urination > and muscle twitching followed by leg cramps? > > Thanks for any input
