Guest guest
As for hobbies, what are some hobbies of each of you all? Please respond! Well, for me, I read whenever I get a chance, and I also do needlepoint and cross stitch. I am still trying to finish an ornament for my OB. I had hoped to get it done before Jannie was born but that didn't quite work out. I also like to birdwatch and plan on taking Jannie out to teh swamps as soon as it gets warm enough. Let me explain something about the swamps I am talking about. There are board walks and walking paths so it is actually quite safe. As long as I keep her slathered in sunblock. And I have one day a week that is me time. I am in therapy and I go alone. It is nice not having to worry about things for a bit each week isnt' it? Guest guest
Cherie, Yes, you can ask sex questions here. My sex drive has just returned after a disappointing absence for about 12 months! I did not have that with my first, so it came as a surprise. I don't think people talk enough about sex drive when you nurse! My first was bottle fed for reasons much like your bottle fed son. (Long story that I have posted before though) I still have not menstruated, so I am wondering if this has any play in it too??? Like I said, it is getting better, but not back to " normal " yet. I also practice co sleeping, so this complicates things a little. Yes, we have found ways around it, but it is more difficult at times. I would not trade our co sleeping arrangements for anything though. As for hobbies, what are some hobbies of each of you all? I know we all invest a lot of time in our families, but what do you do to rejuvinate yourselves? Myself, I have just gotten into Creative Memories and am loving it so far. I call it my therapy. Movies and dining out are enjoyed too, but less often. I also truly love spending time talking with my friends about anything and everything. That's it for me! Please respond! - Jake 3-11-94 and Clay 10-22-

Guest guest
Boy have you ladies had some interesting topics while I have been gone!! I just finished my first week of training & I sat down yesterday with close to 500 emails!! I DELETED a lot!! But as always, I have a few things to say, & I hope I get this right. Please bear with me, everything is a big blurr right now. I have an awful cold & total brain overload! Not a good thing! Ok. Getting support. I get support from my side of the family. Forget the in- laws, they just think I am some barbaric cave woman! I also get support from my other BF friends, & here. I am on 2 bf loops! I know I spoke about the period thing, but I will tell ya again, still no aunt flow for me. Hobbies, I love to cook & sew. If ever in any doubt what to buy me, just get me a good cookbook! I will love it! Lately for my sewing creations, I have just been making baby slings. (Anyone want to order one???? JK, but thought I would ask.) Sex drive, finally getting back to having one. I think nursing just takes it all away. Which is probably Gods way, no sex no conception, no more than this Mommy could handle right now! Thrush, we haven't had it this time. My daughter had it, but I never got it. I hear it is awful. ***hugs*** to you all. How did the gentian violet work? Bras, my favorite is decent exposures. Mine is getting pretty worn. You can see my nipples thru it now. I had taken my overall top down in the bathroom, can someone say " headlights " on high beams! I was so glad I wore overalls to work that day!!! Ok that is all I can remember! I hope you ladies have a great week! It will probably be the same here. I have to work 40hrs again this week in training. Catch up will you all again next Sunday!!! Guest guest
My current hobbies include: sitting at the computer all day long LOL and sewing. I am making all kinds of clothes for the kids and myself (right now I am making matching outfits for all of us), diapers, diaper covers and slings, baby washclothes/wipes, and whatever else I can think to make from the scraps. Any ideas? I just love it when the scraps I throw out really are scraps! > As for hobbies, what are some hobbies of > each of you all? Guest guest
Kristi, Yes, all of the Chicken Soup books are great reading for Mommies. The way they are set up in small sections makes it possible to read a little bit and no forget the previous parts or whatever. Those are some of my very favorite books! - Jake 3-11-94 & Clay 10-22-

Guest guest
<< I don't think people talk enough about sex drive when you nurse! >> I agree!! : ) I still have not menstruated, so I am wondering if this has any play in it too??? Like I said, it is getting better, but not back to " normal " yet. I also practice co sleeping, so this complicates things a little. Yes, we have found ways around it, but it is more difficult at times. I would not trade our co sleeping arrangements for anything though. I didn't get my period until Philip was about 14 months or so. It still isn't real normal although I've heard it may never be quite the same! (bummer as I've always had a VERY predictable cycle) Anyhow, my sex drive *still* isn't what it used to be. Better but not the same! : ( I've also heard this is due to nursing so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed! : ) We CO-sleep with Philip and I agree, I wouldn't trade it for anything! I love having him all snuggled up next to me!! : ) As for hobbies, what are some hobbies of each of you all? I know we all invest a lot of time in our families, but what do you do to rejuvinate yourselves? Hobbies.... Hmmm, lets' see...... I'm just starting to get into craft stuff. Philip takes up so much of my time but I'm hoping to have more time soon. I really want to start scrapbooking among other things. (sewing, cross stitching again, etc.) I *love* to read!! I read anything I can get my hands on!! Philip sleeps in my arms for all of his naps so I use that time to just relax with him and read. I usually read magazines (I think we have close to 18 subscriptions between the two of us!) as I doubt I would be able to finish a whole book! I also, love the Chicken soup books and agree that they are easy to read! I enjoy spending time on line however I don't get to spend as much time as I'd like as Philip hates sharing me with the computer during the day. (I usually have to respond to posts late at night after everyone is in bed!) I love to organize things! Phil, (my DH) once said that if I could I would alphabetize everything in the house! lol I enjoy cooking. I would love to someday take a gourmet cooking class... I love to write!! Anything... in my journal, letters, emails, Philips baby book etc. Gee, there are soooo many things I love to do.... Now, if I could only find the time to do them! : ) Dana -Mommy to Philip ph 9/17/

I wanted sex all the time when I was pregnant and when I was ovulating. We found out about the ovulation thing the hard way though.. My dh said if I ever attacked him like I did the day I got pregnant with the first, he would run away from me.. Before that I was always on the pill and I didn't realize how much it did kill my sex drive. Now that the third and final child is here, I got my tubes tied and I feel normalized.
