Guest guest
You might just be one of those who get these headached near the end of dialysis due to fluid and waste removal. I'm not sure there's much you can do about it when you get them, other than to take a headache pill. I don't get headaches myself, but I know a few who do. Everyone's different. I'm more prone to feeling a little nauseated, especially if I eat anything during the run. If it bothers me too much, I just take a Gravol when I get home and fall asleep. How is your weight when you get there? Pierre dialysis question? > It seems after each of my dialysis runs I get an extremely horrible headache. > Is there any reason for this or any way to prevent it? > > Thanks > > >
Guest guest
Hi there, I did a Dogpile search and saw some info on the headaches and it has further sites listed that you could look at, also. Check out www.nephron.com./ubb/Forum7/HTML/000031.html Other than the headaches, are you feeling okay? We got a copy of the CD of the CAT scan they did on your dad's kidneys and played it on his computer. It is so neat!! You could see the kidneys and bowel, and you could scan up and we think we saw his heart, too. One kidney looks a little bit smaller than the other. I wonder if they take the bigger or the smaller? Both look nice and plump. Because they are timed slices, we could see the contrast rush in the tube. We'll bring the CD when we come up there so you can see it, too, if you'd like. He said the folks at Emory were very nice that did the CAT scan. It was real nice for them to make him a copy of the results to take home. Nothing like home movies! Hope everything else is going smoother for you, and that the kids are doing well in school and being good. Guest guest
, My donor had one kidney larger than the other and they did a check to see if the smaller one cleared as much urine as the larger one which it did. They gave me the smaller one. I actually think it was short and fat and the other was tall and thin!!! :-) dialysis question? >Date: Wed, 4 Feb 2004 09:08:10 EST > >It seems after each of my dialysis runs I get an extremely horrible >headache. > Is there any reason for this or any way to prevent it? > >Thanks > > > >
Guest guest
Hi , I am not yet on dialysis, but getting a little too close. I don't know about headaches after dialysis, but I do know that I get them nearly daily now as my renal function has declined so much. It is worth asking your doctor though. Perhaps there are some dialysis adjustments they can make to help alleviate the headaches for you.
