Guest guest
If you use the heel of your hand, it's not obvious what you're doing - and *gently* is important, to protect the underlying ducts, etc. And leaking does reduce as the mum's system and baby's feeding 'tune in' to each other - anecdotally, there is a sort of 'settling down' at about 6 weeks (and I think Mike Woolridge had a reason for that - do you know, Sue?) and then again at about 3 months. Has anyone read 'Why they cry' by 2 ?Dutch child researchers who link crying patches with new skills in child development? bfc/ but mostly pndl Barbara Wyant wrote: > With DD2 I was told you can 'switch off' the leak by 'pressing in' the > leaking nipple - very very gently, just about a quarter inch or so, as if > you were switching off a light switch - that worked for me.
