Guest guest
Geri, Contact your friend anyway. He just might give you the info needed to get it published. I like the idea of posting it to the site, also. Do both. We could all get copies to our own doctors. There are a lot of ways to get the word out once we have all the documentation in writing. By the way, I enjoy reading your letters. You have given me a lot of inspiration. I was having a pity party for several weeks and have finally gotten off my butt thanks to you and others on this list. Thanks to all for the help in coping. I think that the major changes in life style is the hardest part to handle. Ginger
Guest guest
help! What was the two drugs for depression that you were talking about? I would like to hear more about that. I have had terrible luck with antidepressants. Would be nice to find something that works without too many side effects to deal with. I have enough side effects with the prednisone. Guest guest
Ginger, Elavil works well except it made me so groggy at the dose prescribed for depression that I couldn't get out of bed and go to work on time. I have had absolutely NO side effects with Effexor. I am not taking depression-strength doses of Doxepin or Wellbutrin to know what they might be. I have none with the low doses I am on now. Guest guest
Hi all--- in response Becky's questions about MTX/lungs Regarding your questions about the mtx / lungs: one of the possible (though not common) side effects of mtx is something called interstitial pneumonitis. When I started on it a year ago, my rheum cautioned me to let him know immediately if I developed a cough or shortness of breath at any time. I am not sure what the tx is except for stopping it. I would suggest discussing it further with your rheum once he has seen your chest xray. Keep us posted. Hope this resolves real quick !
