Guest guest
That is a good one Amy! Speaking of periodic tables, I was surprised at how much it had changed from my days as a Chemistry minor in college to now when my daughter took Chem in college. Guest guest
Hi Dave, I hate it when the jeans get too tight :-) I know what you mean about feeling you have run a marathon by the time you get home! It took me 2 weeks to get over my flu, but thank goodness that is behind me now.
Guest guest
I want to hear a success story on the quitting smoking campaign Dave! Your kidneys are added motivation to stay away from them. Good luck to you and both!
Guest guest
Hi Thanks - Having piled on so much weight since my initial haematuria, I really need a positive attitude to get myself back in shape - I was so fit 12 months ago and the change freaks me out - plus the fact I can't fit into any of my jeans!!! :o/ The bug has been just feeling low and ... I dunno ... grotty - not enough to keep me home but enough to make me feel like I've ran a marathon by the time I get home - so I've not had the enthusiasm to read mails much but I caught up now ) How are you? Dave Re: Finally! Hi Dave, Sorry about your bout with the bug. It can take some time to recover. I am impressed on your daily 30 minutes though! And here I thought I was doing good with 3-4 days a week on the treadmill. You just put me to shame :-)
Guest guest
Oh Alison has a wicked sense of humour, guess she'd have to if she married me lol Yeah, the food thing would really get to me, right now I'm just keeping on as normal but being more sensible with the obvious stuff *hides can of Stella Artois below monitor* BUT!!!! having smoked for 21 out of the last 23 years (yes I was 13/14) and yes I know, I'm intelligent enough to know they are bad for me .... yaddi yaddi yaddi ... I've set a date for starting to stop .... Ali (who stopped for 10years until 2 years ago - believe that??) and I are both quitting on 1 February. This time last year we both tried and did 4 weeks on patches ..... then Ali gave in then I followed :o/ So we know the pitfalls and we are going for it ..... keep an eye out for any headlines in the uk news about bloodshed in Inverness house ) Dave Re: Finally! >Anyway, Alison walks past and does a whitle and says " nice legs, shame about the kidneys " ... It just tickled my bad sense of humour ) > > Dave LOL!! I think I would get along well with Alison, that girl of yours has my sense of humor. Dave that reminds me of something my husband said the other night...I was making dinner (altering a recipe to make it renal friendly) and he came in to check on what we were having. Without thinking I didn't say what I was making instead I said " Well I have my protein and sodium right, my potassium and phosphorus taken care of... " and he stopped me mid sentence and said " Do you have a Periodic Table or a cookbook in front of you??!! " This renal diet has gone a bit to my head I guess. I look at food for it's elements rather than it's tastes lately. ) Amy To edit your settings for the group, go to our Yahoo Group home page: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/iga-nephropathy/ To unsubcribe via email, iga-nephropathy-unsubscribe Visit our companion website at www.igan.ca. Guest guest
Oh , I feel for you!!! All those Chem labs. I remember all too well. I was so happy when I took my final for my last chem class! I only had a Chem minor because it was required with my major, which was Molecular Biology. I never was a big Chem fan. Agh, I am taking Chemistry right now, it's not a fun one...:-\

Guest guest
I cannot imagine three years of Chemistry. My sixth grader had a chemistry test last week. He gave me that exasperated look when I asked what happened to studying rainbows. I am glad he understood the stuff because I sure didn't. Guest guest
My order of Cynomel arrived. Ordered on May 31st, it was taken by the DSHS and FDA and held til a couple of weeks ago when it was returned to the pharmacy, who promptly sent it off. I wonder if it's any good, having been shipped in hot weather and then left to sit around in who knows what temps? Probably OK, try it and see, if you have the desired reaction it's fine. Mexico is a hot place and it was made to be sold there.
