Amen to that last thought.... I would never leave my daughter with my

stepfather. You have to stick to your gut feeling! And it is nice to hear

of a young mom not relying on formula if she can bf. Not that there is

anything wrong with formula.... if you can not bf or choose not to. But it

warms the heart to hear a young mom doing all she can for her little one!

Kudos to her!

Dana The support is the most important thing. My mother then nursed but

has been supportive. I remember the first time I nursed in fron of MIL.

Marty went downstairs for something, we were sitting in the kitchen

talking I started to feed the baby and she jumped up and said I got to

go.....Her son came back upstairs and asked what happened to mom. I told

him the nursing must have scared her off. Now we know how to get rid of

her!!!

I never got the nursing working on my first two kids. So this time it

has been a small goal type thing. When I started my goals was 6 to 8

weeks, Then when that worked it was 6 months. Now we are past that. I

just told hubby we are going to one year. He was sceptical but I talked

about the cost and the health facter. Since my husband has tons of

allergies and lactose intolerance ( which I think came from getting

whole milk at 3 weeks)

Wait till he hears I will let the little guys wean when he is ready.

When people ask, I tell them I will let him nurse as long as I would let

him have a bottle. That shuts the bottle people right up.
