Guest guest
I think that sometimes the doctors do not think. Just my opinion but seems if they truly did think about it they would realize they need to help out the situation to the best of there capabilitys. My 9 yr.old has said she wisshes she were a doc so she could make me better. She also says if we were rich they would probly help me more. Hard things to explain to kids. I would have became a doc if i wernt so sick. I think emapthy and sympathy and compassion can take a patient and a doctor to a whole other level. A level we should all be at in society and as human beings. My pcp has all the qualitys of a caring person and doctor. I always tell her I wish each of my specialists were just like her. Hmm. Maybe once the cloning gets out of control I can put a request through so they can clone her then I can request her as a specialist.lol.lol. hugz, cassy Re: my doctor's visit One thing that the docs need to be busted with is that stress in any form makes things rough for us - stress makes the pain worse - stress makes sleeping at night worse - stress makes dealing with the disease worse - the rat track just gets multiplied. Things that don't inconvenience them - throw us out of out of whack for a week - a ten o'clock appointment means getting up at 6am or earlier to get up and ready and get to the appointment. More than one appointment and we pay for it for a week or ten days - the mind freezes up - the pain goes to ten or higher and all we can do is cry. Even with a numbered to do list or a grocery list we can't remember everything on it. That means multiple trips to the store and more stress for us. KMart gives lip service to the ADA act - they only offer wheel chairs for the disabled - with no upper body strength shopping there is out. Wally World has scooters - but except for vitamens - if you are on a limited budget like me - they have priced themselves out of my shopping. Sav a lot, Dollar Store, Dollar Tree, Dollar Shop - good prices - but I end up with using a grocery cart for a walker - my doctor's visit I saw my Internist on Wednesday. She is filling out the paperwork for me to have a power chair. I'm working through The Scooter Store and they faxed her all the paperwork to fill out. My doc said I definitely qualify for the power chair because I'm having so much trouble walking because of the pain in my feet and legs. She also said she believes the pain I get in my neck and head is nerve related because of the feeling I get that my skin is hot. My skin actually does get hot. She increased my Neurontin but I haven't started taking the increased dose. I'm already taking 2400 mg. and I hate to go back up. I used to be on 3200 mgs and I've worked hard to get down to 2400! I also have a bump on my hand by my knuckle that I had her look at. She said it is a arthritic nodule. Great. LOL I have several others that have been on my fingers for years but never hurt like this one does. I am bummed over my doctor thinking I qualify for a power chair. Isn't that stupid? I think that's it. I just know I'll feel better once I get moved! hugs to all)) Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
LOL My cousin has a nifty souped up WC. At the park, he raced the kids up and down hills, spun about, popped wheelies and made a wonderful impression on all of them. LOL For years now, it's been said that when he and my Mom both have their "rides" they'll have races. LOL I believe another of my cousins, his brother, has a WC, too. (Mom, does he?). The boys both have MD. Challis my doctor's visit I saw my Internist on Wednesday. She is filling out the paperwork for me to have a power chair. Guest guest
It's stupid, isn't it? When I saw my Neuro the last time, my doc's office refused the referral when the Neuro's office called for one. The new gal in the PCP's office made that decision. Oh, I was livid. I talked to the Doc's wife, who did the referral in time for my appointment that afternoon, and I agreed to see PCP the next day. lol Insurance wanted me to see the Doc for the referral. Normally, should something like that come up, Doc's wife calls, lets us know, we schedule a visit and no problem. But to refuse referral and say nothing to me? <cranky eye> She hadn't told the Doc or his wife (wife runs the office), until I called and asked for Doc's wife. And as Office Gal passed the phone to Doc's Wife, I heard her trying to give the information fast. LOL Insurance rules don't always seem smart rules, do they? Hugs, Challis my doctor's visit I saw my Internist on Wednesday. She is filling out the paperwork for me to have a power chair.
