<<<How about turkey ham? It's low in points>>>

Ouch, that couldn't have been a pleasant breeding experience (poor turkey)!!!

Actually, I've never heard of it, but I will take a look at the grocer tonight!

Thank you Lis!!!

<<unless you made it with barbeque sauce. You can make your own for low points

fairly easily. I have a recipe, if you are interested Jon Boy>>

Wow, it's been years since anyone has called me Jon Boy. Today is my 32nd

birthday, and that is bringing back old HS memories from when I was 17!

And yes, please please please!!! I would love the recipe! I'll try it tomorrow,

I promise!!!

??????????????????What? Who told???? No, just a cape and turban. It's going

to be fun. I save the heels for fancy events.

What do all you all do that is just plain silly?

Okay, understand that I am an accomplished musician. I actually sit down at one

of my 3 keyboards and jam daily, and I play guitar. But there is still nothing

more fun than cranking my favorite music on CD, doing the air guitar, dancing,

and lip syncing (a la Tom Cruise in Risky Business). By the way, tennis rackets

make great guitars!!!

<<How do you turn off serious and turn on

silly?>>

Bette,

The answer is simple. Don't think about how, just do it. Find something you

enjoy that you haven't done in a long time that you used to love. Go miniature

golfing. Go to the local water ice store or whatever is local for you and get

an old favorite treat (make sure you can afford the points). Where your pajamas

to the mall. Whatever makes you happy! It's a great stress reliever just to

let loose an have fun some times.

Personally, I'm having a buddy over tonight to jam, I'm cooking a pizza, we are

cranking my amp and jamming. Tomorrow I'm going to find the most outlandish

dish I have never tried and cook it (I'm still deciding on what to try, but it

has to be fun and different), and Sunday is the Wizard of Oz singalong. I'm

celebrating being 32 this weekend by doing things I would not normally do. Why?

This is the year I will really better my life, which is reason enough, but I

have an alternative reason: because I can! Weight is coming off, my

self-esteem is up, and my desire to be a hermit is gone. To use the J.P. Sartre

terminology (Existentialism 101), it's time to quit just " being " and start

" living " . Just let loose and do something fun this weekend (it doesn't mean

dangerous or stupid, just fun)!!!

I suppose with anything else that you're trying to develop in yourself,

you make a conscious decision to do it and choose to " be " that way. Does

that make sense? Obviously we can't be silly ALL of the time or that

would really mess things up in our adult lives! But we can some of the

time.

You might start at home with your family just doing goofy things;

playing harmless practical jokes, saying silly things, finding the humor

in things.

For example, I have a shampoo that actually says " For dry and rebellious

hair. " So while showering I'll call out " Roy! My hair has taken my nose

captive! "

" Yes dear. "

" Roy, my hair has hijacked my scalp and is making demands! "

" Yes dear. "

Stupid stuff, but fun.

Hey Tory, if it makes you feel better, my shampoo took my hair captive, and

I still haven't found it yet!!!

Dang I hate when that happens, Jon. I'm going to have to keep a close

eye on that bottle next time I use it.
