DMPS does not cause neutropenia, so it can be substituted.

My suggestion is ALA only or DMPS/ALA chelation.

MT promoter is a waste of time. Bill Walsh's data as shown on the

DAN! website makes that excruciatingly clear.

The tin is either a contaminant introduced by improper sample

handling, or something in her food or supplements you have to track

down. Start looking hard at everyuthing that passes her lips, and go

over the details of how the urine samples get from her body to the

laboratory, making sure you personally observe everything done in

between.

I have to admit that when I made the switch to MT primer and Promoter

on my docs recommendation, I was leery. I wasn't sure if it would

work or not, but I reluctantly agreed to try it because of the

respect and trust I have for our doctor. I have to tell you all that

my son has been on it for four months ( two on primer, and two on

promoter) and we are starting to see some pretty impressive stuff.

Nothing miraculous YET! But at least we are seeing more social

behavior, less stimming, more play and some attempts at humor and

pretend type play. His receptive language is growing and he is more

in tune and wanting to be around us all the time.

We were at a standstill with chelation-- everytime we did dmsa/ala

( and yes, we tried the four hour protocol and the eight hour and

noticed no difference...) his gut bugs and yeast just flared up and

made his behaviors intolerable. He couldn't learn and was a

miserable mess. But since starting this stuff-- he is truly making

progress.

I don't have all the technical/ chemical data or knowledge that some

on this list have. So I can't explain why it's working-- but I am a

Mom that is seeing her son get better with the MT stuff.... FWIW...

Did you ever see any progress on chelation? The way you describe it

makes it sound like chelation never did anything, which does imply he

never had a heavy metal problem those agents were effective for. In

which case MT promoter might be just what he needs. A FEW KIDS, a

SMALL percent of the population, really do have their problems because

of the Cu/Zn imbalance and low MT that Bill Walsh talks about. Those

kids would not be expected to respond to chelation and in fact would

likely get worse on it. Good diagnosis is essential. . . . . . . . .

Yes, we did chelate for almost 1.5 years with slow, but steady

results. During that time he went from pretty severely autistic to

moderately autistic. He is now in the low moderate end, but still

has a long way to go. Still non-verbal... but attempting new words

and trying to speak. He was very high in several metals, and over

the course of chelation , we saw many metals coming out in urine and

fecal metals tests.

I think the dmsa/ ala combo is what caused our problem and turned it

into a standstill. His little body just couldn't handle all the

yeast/clostridia that we always got.

mt promotion might just be a slower dump, the child maybe heavily

loaded with mercury and hence the yeasts etc on dmsa/ala

following the autism posts there does seem to be a consistency of

reports of satifactory progress from the pfeiffer institute

i think there is a role for slower or semi chelation...

Maranie,

Have you ever treated your son w/ oil of oregano, 1-3 drops under the

tongue? It is amazing what comes out.

Maranie,

This is so exciting!!! I have read so many social improvments reports on mtp.

We have added this to our chelating protocol.I have high hopes!!! Thank you for

the wonderful report.

-Hi-

No, we haven't tried that yet... thanks for the tip, I'll be checking

into it!

I tried Oil of Oregano w/ Jenna and it was great! When she starts acting a

little spacey now I add 10 drops to her morning cocktail for just 3 days and

it stops. What did you see w/ it? It was the Whole Foods people who

suggested this so I was surprised to see others on this list using it.
