Guest guest
My son is 21 months and we have been on the following diet/supplement daily for the past 4 months: - gfcf -1/2 tspn cod liver oil -2tspn pediavites -2 tspns kirkmans calcium/magnesium supplement -B12 20 drops Apecs Energetics (homeopathic DAN doctor recommendation) -20 drops Yeast and Fungal detox Myco-Chord (homeopathic DAN doctor recommendation) -20drops Metal Detox ((homeopathic DAN doctor recommendation) -24 drops Adrenal Support Botanicals -Yum Yum dophilus and then Energetix probiotics, 2 capsules per day -1 jar gluthathion cream (completed, dont know that I should buy another?) -epsom salt baths nightly His condition is worse. He now screams in the middle of the night, tummy aches, ab distention and an enormous amount of gas recently. Very fussy nightly for the past month, still no speech. I believe we need a stronger treatment for yeast, fungus and virus....We visited two primary care pediatricians and our DAN doctor in ATL and we were unable to get a prescription of difulcan or valtrex. Fortunately, I was able to get a prescription for a month supply of Valtrex through my doctor, but we do not want to start until we have the antifungal supply.Until we figure that out, we were going to try the non prescription natural approach. Since we are fairly new to the board, we have some catching up to do! :)and appreciate any advice fellow parentscan offer. I have purchased OoO and GSE as well as OLE and L-Lysein and elderberry extract today. Our son is 21 months and about 32 lbs, he is tall. I know the dosage is trial and error but we didn't want to up the dose too much and potentially induce toxicity or impact his organ functions. We are going to have some liver support - Dandelion extract as we proceed as well. - Can anyone offer dosage maximum limits and how long we should see results if any at all with the natural approach? -With the medicinal approach I have seen some folks start of with the antifungal, given that these are naturals is there evidence regarding staggering the treatment or can we start ful force? - we removed the b12 drops becuase we thought it was too much on his system and didnt see any imporvements after four months. do you think the mb12 nasal spray should make a difference? -Does anyone know of a good DAN doctor in ATL? and or pediatrician? -apart from the liver support addition to the above list of supplements, would the team recommend any additional supplements? -We think there is an oxalate isue and are considering a low oxalate diet before we move to SCD. As with the gfcf diet we have not been seeing any improvements. how do we think the oxalate diet will impact the supplement efficacy? -Since he has been on the YUM YUM dophilus and Energetix probiotics, we decided to move him to a more robust product: LSE #3. the dosage directions indicate 1/2-8per day? What is the maximum dosage for a child like ours, 21months and 32 lbs? I guess we can start with the minimum but was concerned about how much and by when we should be increasing the probiotic dosage. Thanks very much for whatever information you can share to help us through this. We are just starting out and are excited to share our approaches with everyone once we have seen positive responses. I will be catching up on all the old posts. Looking forward to the comments. Regards, Azeema
