You crack me up girl.....

I've already asked that question because I had read the same thing when

I first got on the net.

First, they said it's really based on how quickly your diagnosed and at

what age. We all know that the quicker you become diagnosed the quicker

you'll recover to a full productive life style. Those individuals

might have another flare up as they get older but it's still there with

the potential to flare.

I also used the term " burned out " .... They said if it's caught in time

it can be put " under control " but ... they said they wouldn't use the

term " burned out " .

They both said they've talked to and read about patients that had PM in

there mid to late 20's .... the disease was put under control, then in

there mid 50's it came back. The last part makes sense to me since as

you approach your 50's your immune system slows way down anyway and it's

in that decade of life that things start to fall apart on you.

I know where your going with this and I would have to say.... If your

labs are still normal and you feel fine and you try to live stress free,

eat well balanced meals, rest when you can and work out when you

can..... then forget the disease and enjoy yourself right now. So, go

for that extra cookie tonight and enjoy yourself....

I hope an pray it won't come back until you're in your late 90's.... if

then!

Hugs

Vicki
