Guest guest
Who advertized on the offending news segment? Call THEM up and complain, and explain you will no longer be buying their products because they chose to support ABC in disseminating information that will hurt disabled children and their families, and ask them not to advertise on ABC any more. Andy If I only could, I live in Australia so I have to wait until someone over here shows this rubbish. They will show it because it continues the lies. Our ABC, which is a government run network pulled a story about vaccines and autism several months ago and the only other autism stories we get are about how smart autistics are. Guest guest
It's worth noting that the broadcast version of the story was pretty helpful. It didn't mention any of the possible causes but the primary message of the story is that autism increasing and that no one really knows why. For mainstream media, that's a whole lot better than a message that says they're diagnosing better, which is the version of the story mainstream science would like to have out there. The truly objectionable and FALSE statements were on the prose version of the story on the ABC web-site. This clearly reflects some kind of battle within ABC News: remember that the producer for the broadcast segment is the father of an affected child. I am pretty certain he is a sympathetic force, but I suspect he can't control all the editorial decisions. So I would argue that what will really make a difference is if ABC News hears from us directly. If we want to go after advertisors, go after the ones on the web page that has the offending story. > > > > Message: 21 > > Date: Sat, 03 Aug 2002 06:14:11 -0000 > > From: " andrewhallcutler " <AndyCutler@a...> > > Subject: Re: ABC news a productive response > > > > Who advertized on the offending news segment? > > > > Call THEM up and complain, and explain you will no longer be buying > > their products because they chose to support ABC in disseminating > > information that will hurt disabled children and their families, and > > ask them not to advertise on ABC any more. > > > > Andy . .. . . . . . . . . > > > > That's pretty much the Pharm companies and all the foods I dont (and can't anyway from the allergy issue) give to him anyway. > >

Besides, it will definitely be true when you tell them you will never again feed your kid their stuff because of their support for corrupt attempts to manipulate the news rather than report it at ABC! Guest guest
I sent ABC an email asking them to verify the correctness of their news presentation before they broadcasting them to the public. Their autism news broadcasting was misleading the public and it was not responsible. I told them thimerosal contained vaccines were not being recalled by vaccine manufacturers. They were still in many doctor's clinics. Also the mercury in vaccines are not small amount. They are above the safety level set by the government environmental and health agencies. I also had to educate them ingesting mercury through fish consumption and injecting mercury directly into babies' blood veins are different thing. I very clearly told ABC that my son's autism is nothing but the damage he got from the neurotoxins contained in the childhood vaccines. I am very disappointed at ABC's autism news. It seems to me they never care about how we as the parents of the affected childrent feel. Really disgusting! They will care a lot about the pain in their bank account if a lot of advertizers decide to only run ads places that report news accurately. Andy . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
