Guest guest
My 4 year old son has autism. He reached all his milestones up through 18 months. He lost his speech, muscle strength & coordination after his DTAP shot at 18 months. We are following the DAN doctor's protocol best we can on a budget & he is currently on B12 shots. I know he has a very difficult time metabolizing his proteins. The amino acid powder causes him to have stomach aches & loose bowels so we had to pull him off of this treatment. He's starting to communicate more however still fails to open his mouth to get his words out. He can sometimes say words like thank you but most of the time keeps his lips sealed and says it. While I was reading him a story tonight, he put his hand in my mouth then broke down in tears. I think he was frustrated that he was unable to get the words out like I can. Is there a name for this type of disorder? If there is I might be able to look for more resources.I will also check with his speech therapist however I rarely she her since she is at his private school several miles away from home. Thank you!
