Hi everyone my name is Ayla, and i'm a 34 year old sahm mom to 3 kids ages 12, 10 and 14 months. Just this past Wednesday morning, I completed the bloodwork neccasary to get my thyroid tested, and by Thursday afternoon I had a nurse calling me to find out where she can call in my prescription for synthroid. I was so relieved that there was actually *something* wrong with me that I could potentially get "fixed", I cried!

Since then i've spent some time researching what I can online....there is so much to learn! It's a bit overwhelming at times. I guess the brain fog i've been experiencing all these years {but didnt have a name for) really does take it's toll.....I thought I was just getting *stupid* in my old age.......

Anyways, I so very much look forward to getting to know all of you! I've spent some time reading the past postings and I have to say, there were sooo many of them that *I* could have written, it brought me to tears to know there are so many people living in this....."yuck" that i've been dealing with all these years. It just left me amazed and speechless. I feel like I've found a place where maybe someone can really understand for a change! Even though all of those years, I didn't even understand myself.

My doctor has put me on 125 mcg of synthroid to start. From what I understand this is a pretty big leap! He hasn't bothered to speak with me in detail about my results at all, but i'm gussing from my dosages that things are pretty bad. I want to call and ask him to go over the results with me, but I dont even know what I am looking for myself lol. If anyone has tips or opinions for me regarding my little situation I would be ever so grateful to hear from you.
