Guest guest
Hi Sparrow, Last Friday I was running around without slippers on as it was a nice day and it felt great to have nothing on my feet for awhile as the weather was warm too. My husband works in a place where he brings home metal shavings on his clothes at times and of course I stuck my foot. Done that hundreds of times so didn't think much of it and later decided to go and do some gardening, bad move, as I found out later it wasn't just a stick it was a cut and was bleeding and on top of that my tet shot was due. So went and got one and for several days I felt a bit off and my jaw joint hurt as if I had been chewing for hours when I hadn't. I just put it down to the fact that I really need to keep my shots up as I would be likely to get it if not and I am feeling fine now. Just a case of the old bod reacting to the shot which to me means that the defenses were down and it would have been worse without it. Mind you, some people would have like me to have lock-jaw to be quiet for a time lol !!!! Dawn Sparrow wrote: Hi, maybe some of you will have some information for me. Yesterday I had an incident at work. I was scratched by someone who is Hep C+. That isn't the problem because the risk was very low for me to get it, and if I do, I do. But, as part of the treatment I had a tetanus shot. Today I feel physically drained. It could be the emotional trauma of yesterday, but to eliminate everything else I thought I would ask. Can the tetanus shot wreak havoc with my thyroid? I have hashimoto's and am on 60mg natural thyroid. Losing weight fast and could be entering a stage ... more energy than I have had in quite awile. Today I am very emotional. Thank you, Sparrow Yahoo! Mail Stay connected, organized, and protected. Take the tour
Guest guest
Tetnus shots can wreak havoc on a HEALTHY person. When I had my tetnus in high school, my jaw ached for nearly a week, and the first couple days I felt like complete crap. Ami Tetanus shot > Hi, maybe some of you will have some information for me. Guest guest
This freaks me... as sensitive as I am to EVERYTHING.. and terrified of shots, to boot.. .Tetanus shots never bothered me a bit... Neither does penicillin and that seems to be an allergen for 50 percent of the population now.... Guest guest
Don't know anything about Tetanus toxoid being used for Hep, but any vaccine can mobilize your thyroid autoantibodies. This is why I no longer have the flu shot any yr. Interferon is often used for Hep, but it can kill your thyroid. Tetanus shot > Hi, maybe some of you will have some information for me. Guest guest
I just want everyone to know that the tetanus shot was NOT used for the Hep C. Nothing is used for Hep C. The tetanus shot was used as part of the treatment because I was scratched (by a human). Guest guest
Oh, ok, I understand now. I was just reading other day about some people having newer treatment for Hep C, that some people do well on the treatments and others don't. Wish I had saved that sites in My Favorites, but I didn't. I was skimming over that in relation to something else, so can't remember if it actually mentioned what treatments were given. I work in the healthcare field, and there's always that danger for me too. Some people are suffering from dementia, then, again, some people are mean and resentful of being in a nursing home, so we have to be on guard at all times. I've been scratched a few times myself, over the yrs. Tetanus shot > > > > > > > Hi, maybe some of you will have some information for me. > Yesterday I > > > had an incident at work.
