Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am a single mom to a 5 year old little boy that is constantly wanting exercise. I only have a small apartment which is a fairly long way away from any kind of park or play area. The only time he really gets a good run around is at school or if we take nearly an hour bus ride to the park. I'm worried with the rise in obesity that he is going to start putting on weight or get health problems. Does anyone else have similar problems? Any info would be great.. Thanks,

Guest guest
Consider getting a trampoline.http://www.meijer.com/s/pure-fun-kids-first-jumper-trampoline/_/R-145606?cmpid=goobase & CAWELAID=457546044You can also get larger ones in the exercise section of stores that are one person tramps but no handle. And I think you can find slightly larger ones than the one I posted that still have handles. But any of these should fit in your apartment. Guest guest
We got a 90$ trampoline with enclosure from Walmart. We use it indoors, it's about 6 feet across. Guest guest
We have a trampoline that has helped. And I have to admit the Wii balance board and Play and Sport games have been really helpful. There is a jogging terrain that my son loves, he just runs in place or in circles. Its awesome because it seems like he is running on screen, visual. I think he enjoys the visual and physical stimulation of running and going past things. We also have found a free sports group, that has a gym and I am looking into a running club. They have runners that will run and mentor the child for short runs. We also just joined a soccer team for kids with special needs. My son just loves to run so I figure he REALLY needs this outlet so I want to inspire and channel that energy! Guest guest
We take our guy to the local HS football field. Usually these are enclosed by a fence and a track. Check HS website to see if games are planned that day.Sent from my iPhone Hi everyone, I am a single mom to a 5 year old little boy that is constantly wanting exercise.
