Vasoline is not a good moisturizer. In fact, I don't think it's a moisturizer at all - it's really more akin to a sealant. It doesn't allow the skin to breathe and do the work that it's supposed to do. You might want to try something like pure (organic) shea butter. You can buy it in bulk from lotion/soap making wholesalers for much less than what you can get it in the health food store. We also use Aubrey brand unscented Ultimate Moist hand and body lotion. Olive oil can also be used on the skin and has some nourishing properties if you can get over smelling like a pizza.

What do you put on your child's skin as a moisturizer, after he or she takes a bath with epsom salt? Does anyone use petroleum jelly (Vaseline)?
