Guest guest
Hi all, There is nothing much to report, but I do have a question. The baby's vertex yet, to the relief of the OB, who says a c-section with a transverse baby demands a classical incision. I told him that I was done with this one anyhow, although if I hemorrhaged, I wanted him to do what he could to save my crappy old uterus. I want to keep it alive and well as a souvenir of all the trouble and expense--my little pear-shaped money pit. The head is beginning to engage, and I have been having some prelabor stuff going on for the past week: menstrual-type cramping, hiccoughs felt way down low, painful contrax, etc. We talked about Monday's amnio and Tuesday's section a little bit. The new wrinkle is that I spilled a bit of glucose in my urine--the first time that has happened. He asked what I had for breakfast (Ensure--I wasn't hungry), and thought that it could have been the culprit. Probably all that pie yesterday, too. Who knows? My question: is it common to spill sugar from time to time and not be teetering on the edge of GD? TIA. -- Beth SU 2 metroplasties
