Guest guest
*What is the difference between PTManager.com, PTManager List Serve and PTManagerBlog?* As many of you know, PTManager <http://www.PTManager.com> now has 3 online options - all completely free to all comers. Over the past 4-6 weeks - since PTManagerBlog<http://www.PTManager.Posterous.com>was started - I have gotten a lot of questions about each of them. So - as my first detailed Blog on PTManagerBlog [and cross - posted to PTManager list serve], I thought I'd respond to the questions. *PTManager.com* PTManager.com is a standard website that has been online for almost 20 years. Recently, I've moved it to a new server/host and simplified it - alot. Old files and resources that were not timely anymore were removed completely. Other resources were moved to PTManagerBlog<http://www.ptmanager.posterous.com/> or included in resource sections of PTManager.com. PTManager.com is Primarliy a gateway to the various other online projects that I am involved in - *PTManager List Serve <http://ptmanager.posterous.com/pages/list-serve> * - PTManagerBlog <http://www.ptmanager.posterous.com/> - In Home Rehab - 1st Choice Physical Therapy - and Kovacek Management Services [my presentation and speaking division] Thanks to all who have inquired, but I am no longer in the consulting business - have not been for over 5 years - because I get plenty of consulting activity internally to In Home Rehab and 1st Choice Physical Therapy. I really prefer to consult internally to my own companies where I can see and benefit from the work that we get done. I am available to provide presentations on key leadership and mangement topics again. I took a few years off while building the practices and getting my DPT but found that I missed the speaking quite a bit. I will be limiting the presentationsto about 6-10 per year but I have really been enjoying then again. *PTManager List Serve <http://ptmanager.posterous.com/pages/list-serve>* The list serve is entering into its 13th year and continues to be one of the largest and best forums for inter-clinician interaction across the country. I am very proud of *PTManager List Serve<http://ptmanager.posterous.com/pages/list-serve> * and personnally moderate each and every post to make sure the quality of the discourse stays professional and on topic. I know of no other forum that has had this sort of longevity without de-grading into a commercial site, a spam site or a site dominated by recruiters and/or POPTS. *PTManager List Serve <http://ptmanager.posterous.com/pages/list-serve>* is the best way for rehab management professionals to interact with peers from around the country via email. *PTManagerBlog <http://www.ptmanager.posterous.com/>* PTManagerBlog <http://www.ptmanager.posterous.com/> is quite new and is definitely a work in progress so far. I envision using PTManagerBlog<http://www.ptmanager.posterous.com/> to highlight key topics that affect our profession in a deeper and more intense manner than is possible on the website or list serve. The range of topics wil likely be less wide ranging than the list serve, but will be much more focused. The opics and articles will those things that I find interesting in my practice and reading. Although comments and contributions are very welcome, I suspect that the Blog will have less interaction than the list serve. I also plan to publish much of my past work into the public domain [under a Creative Commons License] by posting them - slowly and over time - to PTManagerBlog. So far, we released a full set of 14 case studies as discussion documents on PTManagerBlog <http://www.ptmanager.posterous.com/>. I've also released a rough videotape [be kind I am trying to learn video editing] of " The Productive Therapist " <http://ptmanager.posterous.com/pages/the-productive-theapist-video>wo\ rkshop in a condense 60-minute format. You may also want to follow PTManager on Twitter or Facebook - PTManagerBlog<http://www.ptmanager.posterous.com/> will post automatically to your Twitter <http://twitter.com/#!/PKovacek> or Facebook <http://www.facebook.com/pkovacek> account if you do. Each time I do a presentation or create a new management article or tool, it will be released on PTManagerBlog. Additionally, key articles and blog postings from other authors that I find interesting wil also go to PTManagerBlo. I suspect the Blog will soon be transitioning toward more original posts as opposed to re-posts from other sites and authors. I hope this clarifies the situation a bit. I am very excited about the continuing ability to work with so many talented and dedicated professionals - both internal to my companies and around the country. As always, your feedback and comments are very welcome here. You've heard it here before, but... *Together, we can make a difference.* All the best * Kovacek, PT, DPT, MSA*
