Guest guest
Just a little update. I gave my 5 y. o. daughter 2 days of antibiotics - I know that is " bad " because it supposedly makes the bacteria stronger - but anyway, she seemed to be over her sinus infection and I didn't want to wreck her intestines by making her finish the bottle. She's been awfully " testy " all weekend (whiny, quick to anger) but I didn't really think anything of it (just thought it was the full moon influence or something LOL) Today while getting her dressed for dance class, I noticed the quiet little vocal tic was back! It is like a little hum in the back of her throat and not generally noticeable even when it's there, which it is NOT. So anyway, I went and gave her a dose of probiotics right away (I'd only given her one dose over the weekend) I am assuming bad bacteria or yeast is normally responsible for tics? Since I have seen the tics disappear on their own in the past, I am thinking they will again... but the probiotics should help expedite matters, right? Thanks in advance. Still working on getting her medical records so we can fax them to the DAN doc (they don't make the appt till you fax the records) so any slight help you can give is appreciated. :-) -- Toni------Mind like a steel trap...Rusty and illegal in 37 states.
