Guest guest
Hi. Need some advice. Since I started the OoO, Kara has been having episodes consisting of unconsolable crying, wanting to be held, putting her hands down the front of her pull up and smacking at her belly. I remember when we first started Nystatin 2 years ago, she had similar behaviors for a few days. Safe to assume this is die off????? It is occuring 1 or 2 times a day. This morning @ 5am and this afternoon at school. I also noticed after 2 of these episodes she voided a huge amount of urine?? Wondering if it is die off, does it affect their urinary system?? Unfortunatley, I have yet to be able to successfully potty train her. I am going to collect a urine specimen for the lab just to rule out a possible Urinary Tract Infection. She has also been having increased episodes of " laughing hysterically " over absolutely nothing. IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!!!! I purchased some activated charcoal today assuming that this probably is die-off. I am not exactly sure how to use it though. Do I give it after each dose of OoO??? Any recommendations for the charcoal and insight into what might be going on would be greatly appreciated........ Thanks in advance. Guest guest
LOL. I thought the same way, at first. The name and capsule, both look quite scary. But it's not. The activated charcoal will mop up EVERYTHING, so just make sure you give it two hours away from something that you actually want IN your child (I hope that makes sense.) We give our major supps./meds in the morning and at night, and I'll give activated charcoal in the afternoon -- two hours after lunch. This timing has worked out well for us.Sent from my iPhone question about the activated charcoal -- i bought charcoal and it is actually black charcoal! is this right? i was too freaked out to give it to my kid... can anyone explain charcoal for mopping up die-off....?Leah On Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 10:35 PM, Christel King <christelking1myfairpoint (DOT) net> wrote: sounds like its hurting her stomach Die off??? Guest guest
, (Before I was prego) -- I took some of this stuff - like the oil of oregano, olive leaf extract, and Caproyl -- and I can tell you -- from experience, too much causes stomach pain. I had read somewhere, that if you want the effects to get into the intestines (especially w/Caproyl) using fiber (small amount) will help " scrub the intestinal tract -- get it thru the stomach, and leave the OoO, or OLE, or Caproyl in the intestines " --- I used this approach w/my brother, and it worked well. That being said, I did it that way too, and found that it worked well for me too, as I got terrible stomach pains. I will try to find the article, but I thought I would throw it out there. I only used charcoal if there seemed to be die off symptoms, (not every time -- and seemed to lessen when I started using fiber) and of course, that worked really well too. (as other posts have commented.) The other good thing that came out of it, BM's were happening everyday, which also helps immensely w/detox. Hang in there...if you have drive somewhere, crazy isn't necessarily a bad place as you will probably know someone there or find someone who can commiserate! laura > > sounds like its hurting her stomach > > Die off??? > > > > Hi. Guest guest
Thanks and to everyone for their comments. She does have at least one BM a day, I was wondering if that was enough? So giving it with fiber, is that through a supplement or to give it with some high fiber food? I started out with 1 drop a day of the OoO x 3 days. Then I increased it to 1 drop 2x a day for a bout a week. We have worked our way up to 2 drops 2x's a day............thought that working it up slowly would be the thing to do. Should I go back to the one drop a day or just stop it for now??? Thanks. Guest guest
Hey , 1 BM a day is great. 2 is better. But one is good. If you feel like 2 would be better, I give my children Animal Parade's Tummy Zyme's they taste like candy, and I always get a couple of BM's out of them. (I give them 2 or 3)... The supplements I give it in juice with 1/2 tsp of apple pectin powder (solgar), 1/2 tsp of psyllium husks (yerba) -- and then add the OoO, Caproyl, and OLE -- Some days my child wouldn't drink it. My brother I could bribe... I wouldn't stop it. I would either: add the fiber or charcoal (whichever you want to do) Or both, do the fiber, and then 2 hours later add the charcoal. If that doesn't stop the stomach pains, reduce the amount of OoO, Caproyl, or OLE by one drop until you don't have these issues. If you are dosing three times a day, it shouldn't take long to see which helps. I will try to find the article, because they do a great job of explaining it to the layman. I hope this helps -- I hate stomach pain, so I feel for your little one. It hurts like the dickens...and that is being kind. > > > > sounds like its hurting her stomach > > > > Die off??? > > > > > > > > Hi. Need some advice.
