First and foremost, you cannot beat the support. Not only is it free but

readily available. The billing side of Office Ally

is new to me but going well. I use Medisoft for another office and Medisoft

offers no help without a hefty fee. So far,

I highly recommend Office Ally.

After asking everyone which billing software they recommended, it seems Office

Ally comes highly recommended. For any of you using it, are there any pros

(other than the obvious of being free) and cons with this program, that may be

helpful to know before looking further into it??? Any comments are welcome and

I have been using it for several months and I think that it is a very good and

comprehensive package. Office Ally is the main portal but be sure that you look

at Practice Manager which is the scheduling and billing software that you would

use. It is completely web based. They make updates to it regularly and have a

link for suggestions. There is an EHR portion as well that is fee based if you

are interested but I've never tried it. Submission of claims is good and as

someone else said, they're support is fantastic - you call, they answer your

questions. They offer training when you sign up. There is even a credit card

service that integrates with it, again for a fee.

The other system that I've used is SimpleMed. Another program that has great

support and has been geared more toward PT practices. Brad Houghtling is the

developer. It does scheduling and billing. I believe that he was also working

on an integrated EHR. It is reasonably priced.

It's definitely worth spending some time looking at both of them.
