His office was no better than Bock's. They won't give you test results until the day of your appointment. You can wait 2 months for results. I can't tell you how many times my son had OAT tests and I had to wait 6 weeks for results to find out he had outrageous yeast, then by the time they call in the script and you get it, your kid suffered for 2 months. That is unless you want to pay $150 or so for a 15 minute consult which can still take 2-3 weeks to get after your results come back.

Ask around. When we left him I got tons of emails from other parents who left too emailed all with the same complaints as me. We left there after 3 years. I was ready to leave at the 2 year mark but the fear of change and the expense of starting new with a new DAN held me back. We left and went to Dr. Bock and we're now DAN shopping again. Seems like we hear great things about a DAN, go to their office, and a month later people post complaints about how bad it's gotten, or they're not what they used to be. They've gotten too big for their britches.. For once I want to go to a doctor who isn't like that, or at least will notice or care if we leave. When we left Dr. Neubrander's we just didn't schedule our next consult. Two years has gone by and not a phone call. I know they're busy but not even a follow up to say hey, you're over due, or are you leaving us? They don't care because they know more autistic kids are getting diagnosed every day and another kid will just jump in and take your kid's place in their practice. I think if they cared about my son as a child, they would have called.

What about Dr. Neubrander? Isn't he in New Jersey?Alice>> Hello group, I am a new member. I have a 2yr Old who was diagnosed with PDD at 18 months old. We have been Using ABA and speech therapy to help us but are now considering a biomedical approach. We started our son on a gluten /casein free diet 3 months ago which appears to have helped. We live in NYC and would like to know if anyone knows of a GOOD DAN doctor here they may refer to us. Also in the course of following the new diet we've switched to using almond and rice milk. Has anyone any suggestions for a better alternative? Thank you> > Darryl>
