Guest guest
That makes sense now! Even with his hearing. He recently started saying that some noises are too loud that never bothered him before. I guess that has to do with the yeast then as well. Thanks so much! as you treat the yeast it should go away but it amplifies everything they feel, hear ect to the extream Hair Brushing In our house, when the hair brush comes out things get ugly!!! Kara had overcome her sensitivity to hair brushing awhile back, but it has resurfaced over the past 6 months. No matter how gentle I brush she acts like I am ripping the hair from her scalp...I feel so horrible, but obviously I have to brush her hair. Is this 100% sensory?? or is something "biomedical" involved? If it is sensory, anybody have any suggestions to reduce the crying jags during brushing? Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks for your help..

Guest guest
I am not sure if you can test without a doctor. I had mine done thru Great Plains Laboratory but my doctor signed it. Maybe your ped can sign it and you can request "the test kit" on their website. It will come with a form that your doctor will have to sign off on. check out their website for more info. http://www.greatplainslaboratory.com/home/eng/home.asp What test do I need for the yeast? I'm without DAN! doctor right now, so kind of on my own here. To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Thu, March 18, 2010 12:56:17 PMSubject: Re: Hair Brushing Hi cristel that could be It! Guest guest
have you tried introducing more zinc in his diet? Zinc was great for us for sensory issues.nancy jSubject: Hair BrushingTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Thursday, March 18, 2010, 9:11 AM In our house, when the hair brush comes out things get ugly!!! Guest guest
It sounds pretty sensory to me. Does she mind having her hair washed? Maybe you can try massaging her scalp while you wash her hair to de-sensitize it a bit. Start with a short massage and increase the length as she can handle it. Guest guest
yes, it is biomedical, and yes, it can be treated with certain minerals and oils. For us it was zinc (especially) both homeopathic and liquid and the omega 3's. We also did desensitizing things, such as stroking his hair gently, using a baby brush on it and having him touch and comb and brush our hair. It took time but we now can even use clippers to cut his hair. An absolute miracle!!nancy jSubject: Re: Hair BrushingTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Thursday, March 18, 2010, 9:40 AM My son has this too. He screams every time I have to wash or brush his hair saying that it's "crunchy"! I too would love to know if this is sensory or if it can be treated bio-medical. Guest guest
you could try treating and if you see die off you will know it's an issue. or stool testing some states do them free but not sure they are really sensitive testing? Guest guest
My worker said she brushes Nyla's hair when wet with conditioner and she tolerates it as well. I have her hold the brush and count down from 10 - 5 on one side and 5 on the other. She hates getting her hair cut as well and her nails clipped. She is slightly getting better on the candienzymes, S boulardii and fungisoide. I have switched her off for the last week before I gave these three with apple sause but she has tested sensitive to apples and she can get rather aggressive, she has since been lethargic and I wonder if the pectin in the apples was helping eliminate the yeast die off' Any thoughts?
