I have to tell you guys about a weird dye thing. My husband has had a

problem off and on where his face will suddenly swell. We noticed that it

would often happen after consuming medications. Since it was cold season he

often consumed several different things. On one occasion we noticed it

happened after taking Sudafed that had blue dye #1 in it. I was convinced

it was the dye, but the urgent care doctors were convinced it was viral

related. Well, about 3 weeks ago it happened again and he was not sick. He

had taken some generic ibuprofen at my sisters house. His lips began to

itch and his throat started feeling thick. I immediately grabbed the bottle

to read the ingredients and sure as heck there was blue dye #1 in it. When

we made our recent visit to the DAN doctor I asked him about it and he said,

you bet you're right! Now I won't allow anything but dye free medicines in

the house for him. Here's the interesting part. We just came back from an

outdoor party where my husband had consumed a couple of margaritas. He

started feeling that he was getting itchy in the face and had a tingling

feeling. I asked my friend if I could look at the mix she was using and you

guessed it, blue dye #1 was in it! My husband is beside himself. His lips

and chin will swell to 4 times there original size! The moral of the story,

beware of dyes!!!!!!
