Guest guest
Many thanks to all of you who ended my pity party by offering me your kind words of cheer, hope and perseverance. I have moved on, with the knowledge that I should avoid any jobs that require snap life-or-death decisions. I'm not crazy about long hours of tedium either. My weight-in this week puts me just 1.8 pounds from my goal, which I never would have dreamed possible a short while ago. I know many people on this list have supported me over the years, and I'd like to thank each of you. For those who have lots to lose..when I joined In January 2001, I weighed 200.2 pounds, and now I'm at 160.8. It came off slowly. I backslid a lot. But the important thing was...I didn't give up completely. I kept coming back...and I kept exercising. Along the way, I found out a lot about what triggered eating binges and hunger. I discovered that I needed to avoid most sweets, that refined carbohydrates (sugar, white flour) tended to rev up my appetite, and eating more protein, more fruit, and more nuts, helped. And exercise...exercise, exercise. Weights, cardio, you name it. Rock on. Diane
