I never really new what my BMI was, so I used your formula Harry and discovered

my BMI is 26.2. Guess I need to shed a couple of pounds? Thanks.

Maybe you are the kind of person who pays no attention to numbers. Or maybe

you pay them no attention, because it is too much trouble to add, subtract,

multiply or divide. Maybe you are the kind of person who sees numbers as being a

pain in the arse. Well, I am the kind of person who deals in numbers, because it

makes things easier to comprehend.

For instance if I told you I am 68 years old and my granddaughter is 13 years

old, you have a very good idea of where we are on the life continuum.

If I told you I have a BMI of 25 and my grand daughter has a BMI of 23, you

would have no idea of what I am talking about unless you knew the concept of BMI

and what the numbers stood for. If I told you my grandson has a BMI of 40, you

would still have no idea of what I am talking about.

If you saw my granddaughter in person, you would say she is skinny, and if you

saw me, you would conclude I am normal weight, whereas if you saw my grandson

you would definitely say he is very fat.

High carb consumption causes high bs levels. It also causes high A1C readings.

Whereas high carb consumption causes high bs readings, high calorie intake

causes fat. Yes, it is just that simple.

To know what your BMI actually is just multiply your present weight in pounds

by the constant 709. Now take this product of your multiplication and divide by

your height in inches. Now only one more step to go. Take this last answer

quotient and divide it once more by your height in inches. Round the number off

to the nearest tenth of a point. Now you know your BMI.

100% of carbs are converted to glucose in your blood stream. Any excess

glucose in your blood stream not used by the body is converted to fat. If you

have a high bs level walk for a half hour or 30 minutes, which ever comes first.

If you took your bs level before you walked for a half hour and again about an

hour after you walked, you will notice a considerable drop in your bs level.

This glucose was used up by walking. Excess glucose is converted to fat.
