Guest guest
Dear Group, I am looking for suggestions on what an appropriate contractual arrangement / split would be for the following scenario: Previous employee is interested in developing her own clientele on her own. She primarilly wants to start out doing home based visits, but also using my clinic for visits as well on Saturdays. She wants to run eveything through under my business name and billing processes. She would be developing / networking in order to establish her own clientele ( outside of my current network of referrals). She currently is proposing a 70 (the PT) / 30 (me) split of actual reimbursement. One of my Goals in Starting my Practice was to encourage others to be Independent Practitioners. I do believe we as a profession need to be more proactive in developing as Indep Practitioners versus most of the PTs being employees. That being said, I also know how hard it has been and how much debt I am in from starting my practice that I do not want to just give it away either. I am open to general thoughts as far as pros and cons of doing such an arrangement, specifics in particular of the financial split and what should be included in a contractual agreement. Thank you in advance for taking time to read through this and for any reply that you make. Best Regards and Merry Christmas! Brad Freemyer, PT A Step Ahead Physical Therapy, LLC Roswell, GA brad@...
