Guest guest
Hey Group: I am soon starting a " Senior Fitness " program through my fitness center, which adjoins my PT private practice.I'm trying to develop a fairly structured program that incorporates strength, stretching, and conditioning in a 45' session. I'm looking for any ideas for different programs already developed that are flexible to accommodate a very vast senior group with respect to physical abilities. I would appreciate any suggestions, be it website/software, or potential problems some of you may have encountered with a program such as this. Guest guest
Hello , I learned of this program at a continuing education course at Regis University in Denver. http://www.parkinsonsmoveit.com I have found success with many of their recommendations for PD. I am also interested in this listserv response to your question as our clinic considers such a program. Guest guest
Sue, We have been pleased with Silver Sneakers. Especially good if you have some of the insurance plans that encourage and pay (very minimally) for attendance. For us, the goal was to offset some cost and provide a community service. It happens outside my office, so I know there are some regulars and some transitory participants – better suited for a fitness center. It is a valuable service no matter which way you go. Guest guest
Do you have a link to their website? A search of those words did not produce a specific program. Thanks.
