Guest guest
Hi everyone, Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers, they do seem to be working. Today, my blood pressure was the best it has been in 2 weeks, it was 120 over 64! The non-stress test went very well. I even had a few minor contractions, during it, so they could really see how the baby was doing. She moved a lot during the monitoring time and they even commented on how active she was. Her heart rate did excellent during the minor contractions and so we passed the test with flying colors! I do have a headache, and they think it is left over from the high blood pressure, earlier this week and that hopefully if I get some better night sleep, it will go away. She is going to prescribe a mild muscle relaxer for my back, to help in me sleeping better. The pain is just so sharp that it is waking me up way too much or just flat out keeping me awake. They definitely agree that the nights I sleep better, it also helps my blood sugar levels, as I have been keeping good records of everything in my log notebook. They are very happy with how I've been eating and how my blood sugar levels look, so no need for insulin! YAY! From now on, I will be going in twice a week. One day I'll get an ultrasound of the baby and the other appointment will be non-stress test days. They want me coming in twice a week, because of my history of pre-eclampsia and because of my current complications. Apparently the baby could grow suddenly, the amniomic fluid could sudden change in amount, etc so that is why they want the weekly ultrasounds. And with all the Braxton Hicks I've been having they want to watch for any changes there, so again, the reason for the non-stress tests, plus that will have them monitoring her heart beat, twice a week, and they can watch for any signs of trouble and catch it much more quickly, by spacing out these tests. So, I go in next Tuesday for an ultrasound and Friday for the non-Stress test and will do the same the following week. They want me coming on Tuesdays and Fridays or Monday's and Thursdays, to make sure they are seeing me every couple days. Gordon will take me to some of the appointments and I'll find others to help with the others. My Mom has already agreed to take me next Friday. Gordon's Mom will be here the first week of August, so she can help me that week to get to appointments or either watch Lily, here at home, and I have aa friend take me, we'll see. So, the countdown is truly beginning and right now, if things keep on this way, my chances of a vaginal delivery may actually be going up! I know there is still a very high chance of a repeat c-section, but as long as things stay good, it ups my chances a bit for an attempt, if I go into labor on my own. I'll continue to keep you all posted.
