Guest guest
I'm not feeling well today. I don't know what's going on. I have been off my anti thyroid medication about 4 months. It's possible that my thyroid may have gone back to a hyperactive state. But, I'm not sure. I sold a couple of my baskets to a woman who lives in the San Francisco area. It was a learning experience. I underestimated the amount that I should have charged. Also, when I looked up what the postage would cost, I had estimated 4 pounds and found a rate of $10.55. That turned out to be a flat rate charge, not a charge based upon the size of the box. So, I underestimated the postage. But, the fact that I had somebody wanting to buy baskets that I had made, was a thrill in itself. I made two covered baskets. The finished size was about 13 " across. With the lids on, the baskets were close to 7.5 inches high. These are the biggest covered baskets that I've made. I began working on them in October of '07 and just got them finished in early December '08. I have problems with my vision and with my hands; so, anybody who wants a basket can't really be in a hurry to get one. The weather here is really strange. We had more than a week of single digit temps with the high not going above 16 degrees. Then, we had one day that got up to nearly 50 degrees. Today, it's 15 degrees right this minute. By Wednesday, the temperature is forecasted to be near 40 degrees. I have an appointment on Tuesday to see the endocrinologist. Then, on the 15th, I'm scheduled to see the cardiologist. I've added some more photos to my album. If you take a look, let me know what you think. Take care. Donna in WA
