Guest guest
Hi , I hope when you read this that you and your body are relaxing and your breathing is getting back to normal.... This may sound weird, however, settle yourself down laying flat on the bed, covers over you, rest your hands where ever they are comfortable. Now, in your mind, picture a scene that brings peace to your mind...a grassy meadow with the birds singing...a deep lake, aqua marine in color, with ripples washing up onto the beach...now, take a deep slow breath, hold it for a count of 5, slowly let it out, hold it for a count of 5, take another deep slow breath, hold it for a count of 5, slowly let it out, hold it for a count of 5...continue for a few more times... Do this until you no longer have the mental need to take gasping breaths. Be sure to begin to breath normal if you feel like your head is starting to feel light headed...there is enough oxygen in your blood now. Relax now and just focus on the peaceful scene in your minds eye... Fisrt, be sure to report this to your doc in the morning. Tell him in detail what you have been doing with your meds. Be sure to tell him about ALL of the supplements that you are taking, including any protein drinks, protein bars etc. that you are eating, drinking, swallowing. Give him a detailed report on what you are eating daily for the last 2 weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't tell you to quite messing around with your dosage levels... Getting your body adjusted to having to live with Thryoid supplements takes time...THERE IS NO MAGIC BULLET...YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT TIME...THIS MEANS 6 TO 8 WEEKS BETWEEN EACH AND EVERY DOSAGE ADJUSTMENT. There is No, 'I want to be healed in sixty seconds'...it just does not work this way... Okay, I'll get off the lectern now... Gossimer > > Well, this is totally bizarre. Guest guest
Okay, now, My second immediate thought is have you had a sleep test done recently? For me, once I was diagnosed with sleep apnea,(which is one of the lesser diagnosed sypmtoms of Thryoid disease) my nightly startlement awakings settled down as I got used to the Bi-PAP (Ci-Pap) machine. I also suspect that this startlement awaking was due to my being underdosed with the synthetics-generic Synthroid. Gossimer > > Well, this is totally bizarre. Guest guest
Gossimer, Thank you for your advice and concern. I went back to bed after being up for an hour. I did sleep some off and on. I had a period of being very hot that passed. My heart was fast all night. The breathing thing did improve a little. I am sure that this breathing thing is not from a pyschological source. I have had hyperventilation before from panic attacks and this is different. I needed the air that I was taking in. I will definitely talk to the doctor today. > > > > Well, this is totally bizarre. Guest guest
I agree Gossimer... I had a bad feeling, , when you said you stopped cold turkey again for a couple of days... when your body is as hyper sensitive as yours is now, and mine was fifteen years ago... that just doesn't work. I had to split my doses of Synthroid and take them every 8 hours... not just three times a day, every 8 hours... It's HARD to be patient, really really hard. But you have to be. Every time you have a set back like this you have to restart.. you've lost ground in getting to your goal and now it's gonna take longer.... You have to set your mind to realize that you have to be patient. Allow your body to adjust in it's own time and do the best you can to allow it to adjust. Sorry.. it's just that it's so VERY important.... Guest guest
Ok, this makes me think that there's an allergen for you in one of the binders. IF it is, there may be more than one binder you're allergic to in different products, including the Armour. Even if there isn't an asthma attack going on (but I have a tendency to think there is), allergic reactions that are of the violent kind always send the repirations and pulse up, thus the weird breathing and pounding heart. All it took was one dose of the offender, IMHO. You need testing for specific allergens and general allergen testing also. Wouldn't hurt to check it out. Allergies can even result in anxiety attacks or something similar to them. I really need help! > > > Well, this is totally bizarre.
