Guest guest
Hi, Carol... relax.. it takes a while... 4 to 6 weeks for your body to realize the full effect of the T4 (Synthroid is synthetic T4) that you are taking... you're doc SHOULD have you scheduled to be back somewhere around that time to run more labs to see how your levels are doing and determine if you need a dosage increase... Guest guest
Hi, Well this depends upon whether this is the correct dosage for you or whether you may need a higher dosage after the meds have a chance to distribute through your body and level out. This leveling out takes usually around 6 weeks. At which point your Doctor will/should have another blood workup to see how your levels of Free T3 and Free T4 are doing. This one dosage of meds may be just what you need...it may not be...Only time will tell. There is no set dosage as we are all individuals that have different responses to various medications. Gossimer Getting the thyroid hormones in good order for you should help with > libido...... >

Guest guest
You may also want to test your adrenal function Carol. Have your ovaries been removed, or are you postmenopausal or in the throws of premenopausal syndrome? The adrenals would supposedly pick up the pace after removal, but, in the younger yrs, it is the ovaries that make the testosterone. I think that progesterone also has a little something to do with this. I would assume also that you're still hypo, and it doesn't take just a few wks to corect that, it takes time. testosterone cream>>> HELP....does anyone know of a good cream, with out a prescript.
