Guest guest
Yes, thank you for the picture link. My husband and I had lots of fun looking at different places. We both love history and looking at beautiful things. I wanted to be an archeologist, a real life Indiana . My heat intolerance keeps me out of the heat and humidity. Archeologists always look hot and sweaty...maybe not my calling. Jolie > Thank you for sending those, Nukhet - they are beautiful! Guest guest
growing up in SW Oklahoma in the mid 60's I wanted to be an Egyptologist - but then I had 3 options a teacher, a nurse, or a mother so when I grew up and decided what I wanted to be - I became a counselor and a social worker and not everyone's mother Re: Nukhet's pictures Yes, thank you for the picture link. Guest guest
Well since I actually DID meditate between the paws, poured sacred oils between the paws, then actually climbed up on one, sat and meditated, and looked up at the chin (and there was a full moon to boot) I guess I'm in! Akiba (and no, I didn't make that up, it happened on a trip I took in 1985) http://www.youravon.com/cmichels Re: Nukhet's pictures hoo rah that is a date - under the paws of the Sphinx is the stairway to the Great Library - lets enjoy = coming Akiba Re: Nukhet's pictures We can meet up in our dreams. Guest guest
It was, there were many such moments, watching the sun rise over the Sphinx (and hearing nothing but the barking of the ever-present dogs), meditating in the King's Chamber, Luxor, the Valley of the Kings...a truly life-changing trip.
