Your just going to have to do your research. Unfortuanelty lawyers can be just like these surgeons but it will work for you in these cases!! If they think they can make money they'll take your case and you don't pay until settelment. You should document everything that has happend. Everything that was said to you and even the fact that the FDA's web page is criminal!!! I would go back and look into lawyers who represented these cases back in the 90's and start contacting people and asking questions. Most law firms have web sites where you can email them questions. It's going to take some effort but I think it will be worth it. <@...> wrote: The more I read on this site, the more I am realizing I am going to probably need an attorney. Not only do I need to be explanted, I am worried about my longterm health/detoxing and the health of my 17 1/2 month old son (whom I am still nursing). Does anyone have a list of good attorneys that are well-educated & experienced on this subject? The Dallas/Ft.Worth area based ones would definately be a plus as that is where I am located.. I'm not looking to take advantage of a bad situation, just get all my expenses covered.Any ideas anyone?God bless you all and thanks again for taking the time to share your

experiences...

Many of our women have tried to get a law suit going . . . Even when attorney's initially express interest, when they find out what they are up against, they back out. Some of these women have been so desperately ill they couldn't even take care of their own personal needs. . One in particular, appears to have brain damage that she may not be overcome.

Since all this started, the feds have jerry-rigged the laws against the consumers - especially in the case of breast implants and asphestos . . . It's tragic because so many women, and their children, have suffered so tragically.

If you should know of anyone with the guts to go after these criminals, please let us know.

The cases are extremely expensive and time consuming. . . with land mines all over the place.

As long as the FDA says they are safe, and the A.M.A agrees, doctors are still following the "standard of medicine".

What I don't understand is the anger doctors express when women bring up the possiblity that implants are causing their problems. . . There's an inside story there that we aren't privy to.

I don't know what happened to the motto "First Do No Harm". . . I guess that's an antique nobody wants to own up to!

Hugs,

Rogene

It's really a sad situation. Someone should write a letter to Oprah or Ann Curry. It won't happen overnight, but I'm going to keep talking about it that's for sure. saxony01 <saxony01@...> wrote: , Many of our women have tried to get a law suit going . . . I hate to be disparaging, but your chances of finding an attorney who will take implant cases is slim . . .The chances of them keeping your case is even slimmer . . . and chances of a settlement are very slim indeed.

If you're in FW and want to talk today, send me your phone number via private email.

We've tried Oprah repeatedly to no avail.

I don't know anyone who's tried contacting Ann Curry.

Montel did an half-hearted show on implants . . . It was going great until he repeated the plastic surgeons BS (for balance)!

He has/had a chest implant himself . . . and MS!

He's in their pocket now . . . promoting drug companies.

There are very, very few lawyers who are willing to take on breast

implant cases. The few that I have heard of recently have all lost.

Now that implants are approved for use once again, thanks to the FDA,

and the studies do not specifically point to diseases from implants,

it is very, very, very hard to prove causation.

The women I have corresponded with who have pursued legal avenues

have all said the same thing.....it was a nightmare as your life is

turned upside down and delved into deeply, the manufacturers are

nasty in court, they know how to win, and in the end, the aggravation

of it all is not worth it.

It's not looking good for us in court, and my advice is to focus on

healing. Our health needs calm, stress free conditions to heal, and

legal cases are not conducive to that, with small chances of

recovering anything.

They are so protected as far as compensating with an Attorney... Save yourself the drama... Get them out and detox... Don't even try unless a Class Action arises for Saline.... We are all doomed in that catagory... Even if a Class Action, we see pennies and the lawyers see millions... The Daubert Law stops you from suing... This Law is in place and no Attorney can sue, because the fact is that these devices have never been studied, so no way to prove you are sick... Even though you ARE.. They just blame on Anxiety, Depression, Fibro, Lupus, MS, Arthritis, CRAZYNESS, and what ever else they can blame... The Law and FDA has there back, we are just sick and no Attorney can win one of these cases... Trust Me I know so many women who have tried and it is hopeless and 3 or 4 years of fighting to get a dismissal by a Judge is so not worth the stress... Focus on your explant and gaining your health back... The Law may change someday or we can strike up a class action and well maybe see $3000.00 a piece if we are lucky... Good Luck to You and Explant
