wish me luck

Wish me luck. I have my first date tonight since the divorce. Yes

moms and dads I will be careful since I met him online. We are

meeting at a resturant, I will pay for my own meal. He's bringing his

roomate who is a woman. I'll either bring a woman friend or make

phone check arrangements.

we've been talking a lot on the computer, ever since I sent a

comment to his myspace on a blog he did on the presidential race. He

already likes my off the wall humor.

We hit it off and I may go on a shopping trip with them. He's

recovering from a serious head injury two years ago. One of the

things that got beat up in the accident were his glasses. Saved his

eye though. So his roommate is kidnapping him this weekend to go

glasses shopping. He moved in with her because he couldn't take care

of himself after the accident and she and he have been friends for a

really long time. She insisted that he wasn't doing fine, even though

he thought he was

I think she is thrilled about our date as well. He's getting

interested in life again. We all know how that is here on this list.

He's also going to help me brush up on my personal protection skills

and give me a crash course on propper use of pepper spray , he was a

certified instructor at his previous job. One other thing we have in

common, we've both been inside a mens prison, he used to work on

staff and I got there for my job. We've already traded some stories there. LOL

Gosh, I haven't been on a date in over 30 years. And most of my

courtship with ex weren't dates anyway. Got to get ready for work

now. Boy , I'm a bit nervous.
